Sights of Newfoundland!:)

Sights of Newfoundland!:)

Last Summer my family and I went to Twillingate, Newfoundland. Prior to embarking, we were told by friends back home that they wanted to see pictures of the stereotypical Newfoundland experience. You know, Icebergs, Whales and shit. Unfortunately, when we arrived we quickly found out lobsters were out of season, iceberg are long gone and whales have already migrated south. It wasn’t overly disappointing; Newfoundland was an incredible place to visit with so much beautiful scenery that I’m sure I’ll be back.

My niece, nephew and I thought it would be funny to still send updates home of our encounters. The first picture contains a majestic Humpback Whale we spotted jumping to the surface like Free Willy in the bay. Not long after our whale sighting, sure enough, a polar bear riding an iceberg drifted ashore!:)

Our trip wasn’t all Icebergs and Humpbacks though. It quickly turned very unexpected when our tour boat was approached by Pirates of the Northern Atlantic.  Didn’t know there was Pirates in the north Atlantic but fortunately like most Maritimers, they were really friendly, helpful and led us to actually see some real whales!:)
